ABSTRACT

Objective To compare and analyze the effect of laparoscopic surgery and open toperation of rectal can﹣cer in middle or lower positions. Methods 128 patients with middle or lower rectal cancer were randomly divided into observation group and control group, 64 cases in each one, Laparoscopic surgery for observation group and con﹣trol group using traditional open surgery. Operative time, blood loss, ambulation time, length of stay, postoperative complications, anus-preserving, the recurrence during follow-up were compared between the two groups. Results Blood loss, ambulation time, length of hospital stay, the observation group were significantly less than the control group (P 0.05). Nine patients in control group with complications, the rate was 14.1 %; postoperative complication were observed in 2 cases, the rate was 3.1 %; complication rate in observation group was significantly lower than the control group (P 0.05). Con﹣clusions Compared with open operation, laparoscopic surgery is safe and effective, can reduce the surgical trauma and complications, shorten hospitalization time, improve the anus-preserving rate, worth clinical promotion.

ABSTRACT

Objective To study the diagnosis and treatment of superior mesenteric venous thrombosis (MVT). Methods The clinical data of 13 MVT cases were retrospectively analyzed. Results The diagnosis of MVT in all 13 cases were comfirmed by surgery. Of them, diagnosis for 6 cases was made preoperatively, and misdiagnosed preoperatively in 7.11 patients were cured, and 2 died. Conclusions Because the symptom does not accord with physical sign in the early stage of MVT, the diagnosis of MVT is difficult . B US and CT are useful in the diagnosis of MTV.Intra and post operative coagulation treatment is the key to prevent the recurrence and to reduce the mortality.

ABSTRACT

Objective To evaluate the effects of esophagogastroplasty of esophagogastrostomy in preventing anastomotic leakage, stricture and reflux esophagitis after resection of lower esophageal or cardiac carcinoma. Methods 273 cases of lower esophageal cardiac carcinoma were randomly divided into 2 groups:The treatment group(145 cases) was treated by esophagogastrostomy encircled by sero muscular gastric wall flap while the control group(128 cases) was performed with esophagogastrostomy only. Results No anastomotic leakage or stricture was observed in treatment group, with 10 cases of reflux esophgitis only.In control group, anastomotic leakage, stricture and reflux esophagitis were 9(7 0%),5(3 9%),and 21(17 1%) respectively. Conclusions The esophagogastroplasty of esophagogastrostomy can completely avoid anastomotic leakage, stricture and significantly reduce reflux esophagitis after resection of lower esophageal or cardiac carcinoma.

ABSTRACT

Object To explore the regularity of microwave extraction (ME) on Chinese medicines in different morphological structure and different polar compositions. Methods Anthraquinone in Radix et Rhizoma Rhei (RRR), Semen Cassiae (SC), cholorogenic acid in Flos Lonicerae, baicalin in Radix Scutellariae were determined as index compositions by HPLC. The extraction rate was measured by orthogonal design. Results ME selectivity to different anthraquinone in RRR is not significant, while at the same temperature, the extraction rates of emodin, chrysophanol, physcion in RRR are higher than those in SC. Conclusion The ME selectivity to the different morphological structure of Chinese medicines is obvious, but to the different polar compositions is not distinct.

ABSTRACT

AIM: To evaluate the characteristic and explore the mechanism of MAE on Semen Cassiae by comparing MAE with commonly used extraction method. METHODS : The amount of anthraquinone was determined by spectrophotometer. The surface and cross section of Semen Cassiae were observed by microphotography. RESULTS : Among the four methods, the efficiency of MAE is 16 times that of ultrasonic extraction,3 times that of Sohlex extraction and 1.1 times of decocting by water, respectively. Micrographs taken after extraction differed markedly indicated that the degree of damage varied considerably. CONCLUSION : The MAE method is more advantageous than other traditional extraction methods (Soxhlet extraction and ultrasonic extraction) with regard to the extraction yield and the time and cost of the procedure.

ABSTRACT

Objective: To evaluate the characteristic and explore the mechanism of microwave extraction (MAE) in extracting Chinese medicines by comparing with conventional extractions on Radix et Rhizoma Rhei. Methods : The sum of anthraquinone was determined by spectrophotometry and aphrostase in paraffin section was observed by microphotography. Results : Among the four methods, the efficiency of MAE was significantly the highest, which was 3.5 times of supersonic extraction and 1.5 times of Sohlex extraction and 1.5 times of decocting by water, respectively. The time of MAE was the shortest. MAE could destroy the cell organization to pick up the speed of dissolving. Conclusion : MAE is efficient, saving energy and time in extracting Chinese medicines.
